Reefs at Risk Activity & Coloring Book
Our Reefs at Risk Activity and Coloring Book is an engaging educational resource designed for students ages 9-13 to learn about coral reefs’ threats. Developed in collaboration with artist Ryan Sobel, this book combines interactive activities, thought-provoking questions, and captivating coloring pages to introduce students to the complexities of coral ecosystems. The first book in the series, focused on coral bleaching, helps students understand the relationship between corals and zooxanthellae, the causes of coral bleaching, and what actions can be taken to protect reefs. Available in English and French, this resource is adaptable for various grade levels, making it an ideal tool for enhancing ocean literacy.

Highlighting key species, ecosystem services, threats, and conservation strategies, this guide also includes lesson plans on mangrove forests contributed by our Foundation, enriching the high school science curriculum in the Bahamas and beyond.
