Bio

Anastasios Stathakopoulos is currently enrolled as a PhD student at Nova Southeastern University’s Oceanographic Center in Dania Beach, Florida where he has already earned a Master’s degree in Marine Biology. In addition, he works at the Oceanographic Center’s National Coral Reef Institute as a coral reef geology research assistant. Anastasios completed his Bachelor’s of Science in Biology at Temple University, in his hometown of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He has worked on a variety of research projects during his graduate studies including acoustic surveying, benthic habitat mapping, and geological reef drilling of coral reef environments in Florida, Guam, and the Bahamas.
