Bio
Hussein holds a Master of Biodiversity from the King Saud University in Riyadh, KSA, and a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Sciences, College of Agricultural and Food Sciences, King Faisal University. Since 2003, he has been the Director of the Division of Studies and Information of the Department of Marine Fisheries in the Ministry of Agriculture, KSA. Hussein has worked in the management of marine fisheries in the Department of Statistics and Statistical Studies of fish and fish stock assessment and the Services Section of fishermen to study the different fishing methods and regulations in addition to its economic viability. He has also worked with experts from the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the Japanese Organization for International Cooperation (JICA), and the Chinese Development Aid, in addition to other experts from the field of aquaculture and the marine environment. He participated in the initial survey to study the sea cucumber fisheries in the Red Sea by the Ministry in cooperation with experts from FAO in 2006.
