Bio

Isabel is an ecologist with a love for outreach and education. She is currently interning with the Khaled bin Sultan Living Oceans Foundation (KSLOF) and the University of the West Indies Discovery Marine Lab (UWI-DBML) as part of her doctoral program. At KSLOF, she is creating educational materials about seagrass for secondary schools. She will also spend three months at UWI-DBML, contributing to their research and conservation projects.

Isabel is also completing a PhD at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, focused on contrasting visual and acoustic monitoring methods for assessing the biodiversity of seagrass meadows. Previously, she worked as a researcher and coordinator at the Nature-based Solutions Initiative at the University of Oxford. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Biological Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge.
