Janelle Levine

Bio

Janelle is a master’s student studying marine resource management through the University of Ghent. She has had a longstanding interest in marine conservation and habitat restoration. She cultivated her passion for marine biology while diving in the kelp forests of Monterey Bay, California. Since then, she has spent hundreds of hours as a volunteer diver with conservation organizations and aquariums, and is currently a PADI certified rescue diver. Janelle holds a degree in philosophy from UC Santa Cruz with a focus in philosophy of science. When she is not traveling for school, she resides in Austin, Texas. For her internship, Janelle is supporting the Living Ocean Foundation's outreach and communication efforts.
