Laureline Chabran-Poete

Benthic Resource Assessment

Bio

After a science oriented high school diploma, Laureline Chabran-Poete did a bachelor in Marine Ecology in Marseille, south of France. Then she spent one year doing several trainings in Greece and South America. Through these experiences, she realized that she is especially interested in species conservation, which is why she is currently achieving a master degree program in Biodiversity Conservation. This expedition will be part of the 10 months traineeship she does for her master’s program. The fieldwork in French Polynesia will be completed by extensive habitat mapping in New Caledonia, and use of the maps for conservation planning.
