2015
Between 7 March 2015 and 3 May 2015, the Khaled bin Sultan Living Oceans Foundation conducted two coral reef research missions to the British Indian Ocean Territory (BIOT) as components of our Global Reef Expedition (GRE) program. Our primary objectives were to map and characterize the shallow marine habitats and assess the status of coral reefs and coral reef species within 12 locations in BIOT. This is the field report resulting from that mission.

Between October 26, 2014 and November 24, 2014, the Foundation conducted a coral reef research, outreach and education mission to map and characterize the shallow marine habitats and assess the status of coral reefs and coral reef species in the Solomon Islands. This report is a direct result of research conducted during that mission.

Between, 2 June 2013 – 28 June 2013, the Khaled bin Sultan Living Oceans Foundation conducted a research mission to the Lau Province of Fiji as part of the Global Reef Expedition. The research focused on coral reefs surrounding 11 islands: Totoya, Matuka, Moala, Fulaga, Kobara, Vanua Vatu, Nayau, Tuvuca, Cicia, Mago and Vanua Balavu.

From 20 October, 2013 – 5 May, 2013, the Khaled bin Sultan Living Oceans Foundation conducted a research mission to the Cook Islands as part of the Global Reef Expedition. The research focused on coral reefs surrounding the islands of Rarotonga, Aitutaki and Palmerston.
